The Oreoz is a fun, dynamic and eclectic top 40 unit, comprised of, mainly four-core, music professionals, who are highly proficient in their individual roles, and highly entertaining as a team. Yes, you guessed it: the name Oreoz is a play on our disposition, but more than this, it is our fun way, as a unit, to celebrate Diversity, Love & Freedom through Music

 

 

 

 

Biography: 

 

Bass player, Jeremy Daw graduated from Humber College’s music program, where he studied under Mike Downes, Rik Emmett, and many other top Canadian musicians.  Since then, he has performed in 24 countries in 4 continents and has had the opportunity to play on over 150 full length studio albums (including 3 Juno nominated ones).  Over the years he has played in a variety of rock, pop, country, classical, jazz, latin, blues, hiphop, reggae, and funk bands.  Jeremy is also a producer, recording engineer, composer, and private music instructor.

 

Drummer, Curtis Weekes, is a self taught multi instrumentalist; proficient in drums, bass, guitar, and is also a music producer, and remote recording engineer. Weekes has played with three major label artist and a host of indie projects, and bands, playing shows ranging from small clubs, to summer-festival-circuits. His preferred music styles include: pop, country rock, funk, r&b, hiphop and metal.

 

Guitarist, Mike Kidd is a skilled musician who has been playing guitar professionally for over 15 years. He has played show in various parts of Canada and has played with some major label artists, such as Classified, the Rascalz and Pillar. In 2005 Mike, and his band Black Talon, won 2 national awards, for rock song of the year and rock album of the year. 

He then went on to get a College degree in music and continues to study with some highly skilled musicians. Mike is passionate about sharing his love for music, with the community; and a music coach, his biggest joy is seeing his students develop into fine musicians.

 

Lead singer, Ryan Lewis is an inspirational, R&B/Soul singer and international recording artist, currently residing in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. This Barbados native, specializes in vocals; however, he is also a producer musician and prolific Songwriter, and has a radical way of painting love and truth, through personal life experiences, and presenting it in a way that is relatable.

 

Lewis is the founder of elevationmusicstudio.com; an organization that focuses on the development of young musical artists, from all levels of discipline.

 

The highlight of his career was being a member of the award winning Caribbean top 40 group, The Toni Norville Band, who shared the stage with internationally acclaimed artists such as, but not limited to: Karl Wolfe, Choclair, K-OS, Swifty (D-12,) Fantasia Barrino, Rhianna, Alicia Keys, India Arie, Boyz II Men, Jah Rule, Brian McKnight, Ashanti, Thornley (Bigwreck.)
